The police decision
to review sexual assault cases strongly suggests that
the concerns raised in the Conservatives’ Police Policy have
been heard. It also lends significant weight to our call for
a Commission of Inquiry into underperformance and
corruption. A clear and strengthening trend of police
mismanagement in handling sexual complaints is now emerging,
further eroding public confidence in the police’s ability
to act fairly and impartially.
The police
policy was developed by former police officer Ross
Meurant, currently Senior Policy Advisor to the
Conservatives.
