Wednesday, 16 September 2026

The Finance and
Expenditure Committee is calling for submissions on the
Taxation (Annual Rates for 2026-27, FBT Simplification,
Foreign Investment Funds, and Remedial Measures)
Bill.

At this stage, no closing date has been set for
submissions, but the public is encouraged to share their
views by 1 December 2026, so that submissions can be
processed and ready for the next Parliament as soon as one
is formed.

The online submissions portal will remain
active through the 2026 General Election period (the
“interregnum”), until a new Finance and Expenditure
Committee is convened in the next term of Parliament. The
new committee will decide when to close for submissions. Any
documents uploaded to the submissions portal during the
interregnum will be provided to the new
committee.
