Global Jews Demand International Pressure To Stop Starvation In Gaza

April 30, 2025, Israel has prevented the
entry of food, water, fuel, medical supplies, and other
essentials of life into the Gaza Strip since March 2.
Gaza’s suffering is compounding, day by day, before our
eyes.

The World Food Programme announced on April 25,
2025 that “food stocks in Gaza are now completely depleted
and thousands of Palestinians could die of starvation as a
result of the [blockade] policy.” The World Food Programme
had by then delivered the last of its own food supplies to
community kitchens which provided 644,000 meals each
day.

Global Jews for Palestine is a
coalition of Jewish groups in 18 countries. Most of our
governments have made Israel’s genocide possible, and their
inaction now colludes with mass starvation in Gaza. Only
concerted international pressure will save the two million
lives that are at imminent, intentional risk in Gaza. We
call on governments to stop arming Israel, and instead to
impose meaningful sanctions.

In the name
of humanity, we urge our governments, the world community at
large and Jewish communities everywhere to bring this
calamity to an end through direct and impactful economic and
political pressure on Israel—now,
today.

About Global Jews for
Palestine:
We are Jews from many countries, who are
members of local, national and international networks and
organizations. We are multi-ethnic and multigenerational and
our members embrace a broad range of viewpoints on Jewish
religious and ethical traditions. We are connected by our
involvement in the struggle for Palestinian rights, and by
our determination to work for justice. We oppose Zionism and
all forms of racism and colonialism.

We believe that
it is our particular responsibility to challenge Jewish
organizations whose alliances and actions undermine
Palestinian human and national rights, promote Jewish
exceptionalism, and overturn Jewish social justice
traditions. At the heart of our work is the fight for
Palestinian liberation and the struggle for a world free of
racial and ethnic hierarchy, colonial domination, and
unbridled
militarism.
